  • 1/2 cup onion (finely diced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Brown the ground beef, adding onion and garlic until fragrant.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker, add broth and seasonings, and stir well.
  3. Cook on HIGH for 2–3 hours or LOW for 4–6 hours.
  4. Add uncooked pasta and heavy cream; cook on HIGH uncovered for another 45 minutes until the pasta is tender.
  5. Stir in fresh spinach just before serving.
