  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp (25 g) granulated white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (112 g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (220 g) light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/3 cup (116 g) honey
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) heavy cream
  • 6 tbsp (84 g) unsalted butter
  • 6 oz (170 g) cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup (97 g) powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of cloves

Instructions

  1. Warm milk to 110°F and combine with yeast and sugar; let it froth.
  2. Mix in flour, spices, salt, eggs, vanilla extract, and softened butter until dough forms. Knead until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour until doubled in size.
  4. Prepare the filling by combining brown sugar and spices with softened butter.
  5. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle; spread filling evenly over it.
  6. Roll tightly into a log and cut into equal pieces. Place them in a greased baking dish.
  7. Let the rolls rise again for about an hour before baking at 350°F for 30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For the frosting, beat together softened butter and cream cheese; mix in powdered sugar and spices.
  9. Drizzle frosting over cooled rolls before serving.
