  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 ounces beef broth
  • 1 medium onion (sliced thin)
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 34 russet potatoes (peeled and sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook sausages until browned on all sides, then remove from the pan.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté sliced onions until translucent. Sprinkle flour over onions and stir well.
  3. Gradually add beef broth while stirring constantly; simmer until thickened, then return sausages to the skillet to absorb flavors.
  4. Boil peeled potatoes until fork-tender, drain, then mash with butter and buttermilk until creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve mashed potatoes topped with sausages and gravy.
