  • 3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour (for filling)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 6 Tablespoons salted butter (for topping)
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour (for topping)
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon (for topping)
  • ¼ tsp fine sea salt (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pie crust by mixing flour, sea salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Cut in softened butter until crumbly, then add ice-cold water gradually until dough forms. Chill for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to fit into your pie dish.
  3. For the apple filling, mix sliced apples with granulated sugar, flour, and cinnamon in another bowl until well coated.
  4. To make the crumble topping, combine softened butter with sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Layer the apple filling in the pie crust and sprinkle crumble topping over it.
  6. Bake for about 60 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
