  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup porridge oats
  • 125 g butter (melted or cold)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt

  3. In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, butter, and salt until crumbly.
  4. Spread the crumble topping over the apple mixture evenly.
  5. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown on top and bubbly underneath.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving warm with ice cream or custard.
