  • 10 ounces vegan marshmallows
  • 5 cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 10 ounces caramels (unwrapped)
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 5 tablespoons butter (for caramel)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 6 ounces milk chocolate chips
  • Sea salt (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by greasing it with butter.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the first quantity of butter over medium heat. Add the vegan marshmallows and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract.
  3. In another saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, caramels, and the second quantity of butter. Stir until smooth and pour over the Rice Krispie base, then sprinkle with sea salt.
  4. Heat heavy cream until bubbling, then pour over chocolate chips in a bowl and stir until melted. Drizzle over the caramel layer.
  5. Finish with an extra sprinkle of sea salt before letting the treats set.
