  • ½ cup dark molasses
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add the dark molasses and mix in each egg one at a time.
  4. Gradually alternate adding the dry mixture and milk into the wet mix until smooth.
  5. Spoon the batter into greased mini muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.
  6. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until the tops spring back lightly when touched.
  7. Let cool in the tin for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
