  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 large egg (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 cup caramel candies
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the melted butter while whisking.
  4. In another bowl, sift flour, cocoa powder, and salt; then combine with the wet mixture until just mixed.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  6. For the cheesecake layer, beat cream cheese with sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth; dollop over brownie batter and swirl gently.
  7. Melt caramel candies with heavy cream in another bowl until smooth; drizzle over the cheesecake layer.
  8. Bake for about 35-40 minutes until set at edges but slightly jiggly in center.
  9. Cool completely before refrigerating for at least two hours before cutting into squares.
