  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 head broccoli florets
  • 13 ounces turkey sausage, sliced
  • Cooked white rice for serving
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Reserve two-thirds of the sauce.
  2. Marinate the shrimp in the remaining sauce for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook broccoli for about five minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Add another tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet and brown the sliced turkey sausage for four to five minutes.
  5. Add marinated shrimp (discarding leftover marinade) to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque.
  6. Pour in reserved sauce and stir gently. Simmer for three to five minutes until everything is well-coated.
  7. Serve over cooked rice, garnished with parsley.
