  • 6 cups water
  • 8 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash the grapefruit and lemon thoroughly. Peel them carefully to avoid excess pith.
  2. In a large pot, combine prepared grapefruit and lemon with water. Bring to a boil, then simmer gently for about 30 minutes until the fruit softens.
  3. Stir in the sugar until dissolved, then bring back to a rolling boil. Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until thickened.
  4. Pour hot marmalade into sterilized jars and seal tightly. Allow cooling at room temperature before storing.
