Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or your favorite variety)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs)
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Peel the apples if desired, then slice them into wedges about 1/2 inch thick, ensuring to remove the core and seeds.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar together.
  3. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  4. Dredge each apple slice in flour, dip into the eggs, and coat in the breadcrumb mixture thoroughly.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about three minutes. Arrange apple slices in a single layer in the basket and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  6. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway until golden brown. Sprinkle any remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on top before serving.
