Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the fettuccine or penne until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the chicken: Heat 2 tbsp of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and let rest.
  3. Make the sauce: In the same skillet, melt another tbsp of butter, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream until thickened.
  4. Combine: Slice the rested chicken into bite-sized pieces and return it to the skillet along with the drained pasta. Toss everything together in the creamy sauce.
  5. Serve: Plate generously and garnish with optional parsley or cheese if desired.
