  • 2 tablespoons instant espresso powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream (for frosting)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with foil, lightly greasing it with nonstick spray.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter and cocoa powder until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, beat sugar, eggs, espresso powder, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Combine with the cocoa mixture.
  4. Stir together salt, baking powder, and flour; fold into wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 25-28 minutes. Cool completely in the pan.
  6. For frosting, mix heavy cream and instant coffee granules until dissolved; beat with softened butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
  7. Frost cooled brownies and top with melted chocolate (made by heating dark chocolate chips and heavy cream).
