  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup bourbon BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 8 slices crispy turkey bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter (16-20 total).
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; brown meatballs for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add BBQ sauce to the skillet; simmer for about 10 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  6. Toast sub rolls in the oven for about 5 minutes.
  7. Assemble subs by placing meatballs in each roll and topping with cheddar cheese and turkey bacon.
  8. Return assembled subs to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes to melt cheese.
