Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for filling)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 soft flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Cook for about 6–8 minutes until apples are tender.
  2. Mix cornstarch with water in a small bowl until smooth. Stir into the apple mixture and simmer for another minute to thicken.
  3. Lay each tortilla flat; spoon warm apple filling down the center. Fold up the bottom slightly over the filling and roll tightly.
  4. Melt remaining butter with brown sugar in a small pan until smooth; brush over wraps.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and toast the wraps seam-side down until golden brown on all sides.
  6. Serve warm with optional toppings like powdered sugar or vanilla ice cream.
